The background is set on a dim mood, but even though the color "black" is portrayed in this shot, it doesn't seem to look like a hunted place in horror movies. The usage of light is superb.

I've probably said this before, but I can't wait to have a book with a collection of these "film noir" kind of haunted black and white photos from this blog. I still have that need to turn pages and feel the paper the reproductions are printed on a I do, etc. Not that I don't love seeing them here as well. But what an amazing book of photos that would be!

It ain't pretty. Which, as I keep noticing, is rarely what makes a photo great. What goes through most of your images is a story we hope never to be in.
